Why wait for the new year

Welcome to Hope in Your Hand… my very own blog about life, love and the search for sanity. I have been playing around with the idea of starting my own blog for a while now, but some days I can’t find time to go to the bathroom by myself!  What makes me think I’ll be able to keep this updated and interesting enough for anyone to actually keep coming back? Well, today I’m putting my big girl panties and going for it! I suppose I have nothing to lose. I have a tendency to start things, then life gets complicated and I fail at seeing them through. Maybe this will be different. Who knows! I won’t know till I try.

Personally I don’t think there’s anything overly exciting about my life. I have been told by several people that my family should have our own reality TV show. God help us! I married my soul-mate 8 years ago; we have a 10 year old son with autism and a 4 year old self-proclaimed diva. We’re a blended family. I have two amazing stepsons who I adore that are ages 17 and 12. By now you can probably tell already I’m no English major. Spell check will always be my BFF. My husband will however tell you that my writing is much better than my driving.

So what business do I have starting a blog? Maybe none, but I love my life with all its craziness. I have been blessed beyond belief. Being a mom, especially an autism mom has thought me to see the beauty in the simplest of things. I’m probably one of the most passionate people you will ever meet. I’m a bit of a foodie. I try like hell to eat organic, non-gmo healthy food.I enjoy cooking, baking, working out, most of all being a wife and mother. I try to eat clean, but I also have a weakness for chocolate and red wine and I’m not sorry about it one bit! I have strong beliefs and opinions on many things which you will soon be reading about. Of course you won’t agree with all of them, but with a little luck and a lot of hard work maybe I can inspire, motivate and make you laugh. Here’s to HOPING my new adventure will bring us all some enjoyment.
